In this series of four transformational weekend workshops you will learn essential knowledge and skills to help your clients experience increased capacity for Secure Functioning, resulting in more joyful and happy adult relationships. These inspiring workshops on Adult Attachment provide insight, practical applications and strategies to help you confidently address your client's attachment adaptations.
Based on leading-edge neuroscience, trauma research and attachment theory, Monique weaves together elements of mindful emotional regulation, self compassion, body & breath awareness, movement, journalling and somatic focused, expressive therapy processes in each workshop to:
To receive certification, participants of this training course are required to complete two pieces of assessment, and attend one case consultation session with the trainer (at an additional cost).

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT POINTS
This workshop series attracts 15 OPD points for members of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). Attendance at all workshops provides 52 contact hours. Along with 8 hours attributed for reading and assignment work, the course comprises 60 hours in total. Students that complete the training will receive a Certificate in Attachment Therapy.

Monique is a mother of two, a trained School Teacher, a certified Trainer and an accredited and experienced Counsellor. She has experience working and living in an Aboriginal community as a classroom Teacher, with children at-risk in schools as a Behaviour Support Advisory Teacher, with children and families affected by abuse as a Child Protection Child & Family Therapist, as a specialist Counsellor in the Royal Commission into Institutional Childhood Sexual Abuse, as a Counsellor with families experiencing Separation & Divorce, as a Clinical Consultant supporting schools to prepare for, respond to and recover from suicide and currently as a Post Adoption Counsellor. She also sees adults, parents, and children in private practice and is a Trainer and Supervisor of counselling professionals working with adults, children and parents.
Monique is passionate about using models of attachment theory to enhance her understanding and practice. She invites therapists to consider…what if your own personal attachment wounds were the key to being a successful compassionate therapist? What if your own process of healing these wounds gave you the map to helping others heal their attachment wounds?
Monique has undergraduate training in Education and Psychology and holds two Masters Degrees majoring in Behaviour Management and Guidance & Counselling. She is a Professional Member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and has post-graduate qualifications in Somatic Experiencing, Dynamic Attachment Repatterning Experience (DARe), Emotion Focused Therapy for Couples, Circle of Security Parenting and Circle of Security Core Sensitivities, Family Constellations, Voice Dialogue, Expressive Therapies and Sandplay Therapy.
